From a Backyard Lab in Stockholm to a Software Roll-Out in the USA
The story of Munters begins eight kilometers north of Stockholm city. Here, in a residential area called Stocksund, Carl Munters and his team laid the foundation for a company that soon became a global leader in climate control.
Access to unique insights
Today, Munters provides food producers with unique insights into their operations by collecting data from farms. One example of this is in the USA, where we recently completed a large-scale software roll-out. The software, which connects to control units on the food producer’s farms, provides access to important information about its poultry operation – from breeding and hatching to feeding and processing. Thanks to the insights, adjustments can be made to enhance efficiency, animal welfare and traceability.
Project at scale
Hayley Ginn, Team Lead at Munters sister company MTech Systems, explains how they managed to implement a project at this scale: "We went slowly in the beginning, implementing fewer sites to learn from them. Then, at the end of the project, we were able to implement faster and better at a larger number of sites."
