Eran Levy
Eran Levy joined Munters in 2015 when Munters was in the final stages of acquiring Rotem, an Israeli company developing world-leading controllers for the livestock industry.

Growing a business
“I had specialized in operations and logistics in another industry, so controllers and agriculture were whole new areas for me, but it was interesting. I ended up learning a lot and after a few years I was asked to take on the role as Managing Director for Munters Israel.”
Today, Munters Israel supplies controllers to farmers and food producers worldwide. “The transition to become a public company in 2017 made us enhance our performance significantly. Today, 99% of our business is export and we have over 60% of the market share in the US. I find that truly remarkable. We are 135 employees here in Israel and about 40 of us are R&D engineers, software engineers and so on. We are proud to constantly bring something new to the industry.”

Livestock farming's insightful friend
Munters approach to developing controllers specifically designed for livestock environments, such as poultry and pork production, has proven successful by reducing energy consumption and labor costs, while ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining high standards of animal welfare.
“The controller is the brain, but we also produce a lot of different sensors to measure airflow, air pressure, temperature, humidity, ammonia and CO² inside farms. This gives businesses a better understanding of their operations and the broader impacts on sustainability, animal welfare, and efficiency.”

Leveling-up customer service
Teamwork is key, both internally and with customers, to maintain product quality, reliability and top-tier customer service. “A pig farm project in Mexico required us to collaboration with our colleagues in China and Mexico. This transfer of knowledge ultimately secured a significant project that is still ongoing.”
Another example of Eran and his team’s dedication to customer service is the development and launch of the Munters Academy. This online training and knowledge hub uses AI to make learning easy and engaging. “We use AI to make the information about our controllers easily searchable and produce videos in users own language. This approach is set to revolutionize not only Munters but industries worldwide. We have about 1000 people enrolled in the Academy; 250 of them are graduates and most of them are customers. It’s one of the things I’m most proud of.”

A fulfilling job
The next step will be collecting and harnessing data for analysis in order to boost efficiency and transform the customer experience. This can be achieved by connecting controllers to networks and the cloud. Munters will be offering solutions vastly different from what we are accustomed to today. AI will also play an increasing role in the future, developing sophisticated tools for our customers”.
“Being part of a company that improves animal welfare, helps farmers work more efficiently, and contributes to positive change is truly fulfilling. Munters offers professional and personal growth opportunities with almost no limits. I might be the best example of that!”
