Xianping Zeng
Xianping Zeng joined Munters as a service engineer in 1996; a year after Munters set up an office in China. Back then, the air conditioning industry was just taking off, and dehumidifiers were still a novelty. Munters China’s annual sales in dehumidification were only around 10-20 million Chinese Yuan (CNY), and he was the only service engineer in Guangzhou.

Fast forward to today, and the company has grown exponentially in both scale and technological capabilities. Xianping has witnessed Munters transform from selling standalone units to providing comprehensive system solutions. Over the years, he has dedicated himself to maintaining customer equipment, ensuring their smooth operation. Remarkably, many products and units he serviced over 25 years ago are still running efficiently, a testament to Munters quality and service.

A massive feat
One of Xianping’ most memorable experiences was in 2005, when he worked on two tobacco projects in Fujian. Each project had 20-30 pieces of equipment, and as the only engineer on-site, he handled all the commissioning work. Despite the heavy workload, he felt immense pride in Munters technology. The equipment used at the time utilized waste heat from air conditioning to dehumidify, requiring minimal extra energy.

Still in the lead
Xianping Zeng believes Munters has made significant contributions to China’s industrial processes. Before Munters, humidity control was often overlooked. The company introduced advanced solutions that revolutionized the industry. Despite numerous domestic imitators, Munters has maintained its lead in leakage rates and control precision. “Our technical parameters and solutions are widely referenced, even by competitors,” he says with pride.

Freedom to innovate
Over the years, Munters has continuously refined its energy-saving technologies while fostering a culture of trust and employee empowerment. “The company gives us the freedom to innovate, and that trust is why I’ve stayed,” Xianping says. For those considering a career at Munters, he offers sincere advice: “This is a unique industry that offers immense fulfillment. It’s worth dedicating your career to it.
